ALOHA!! I have been at Heritage Middle School since July 2012. I taught at Leesville Road High School from 2005-2012. I have a Masters Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Severe Emotional Disorder. In addition to my position as Behavior Support Teacher, I also lead a Martial Arts Ministry at Richland Creek Community Church. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and spending time with family. Each day I strive to serve the students and staff at Heritage Middle School and beyond with love, kindness, and encouragement.
The Behavior Support teacher supports students with behavioral, emotional or social needs who follow the NC Common Core Standards. The student’s behaviors impact their education and have behavioral goals written in their IEP. The BST provides support throughout the school day based on the student’s individual needs.
